Abstract:
Leadership is not defined by a title or position, but rather by a dynamic set of skills that can be learned, practiced, and strengthened over time. Yet many mental health professionals find themselves being promoted into leadership positions without being given any formal preparation or training. Drawing on both the scientific literature on leadership and lessons learned (imperfectly!) from decades of leadership experience, this webinar will explore different leadership styles, the core components of transformational leadership, and the importance of personal values, self-awareness, and integrity in effective leadership. Through practical examples and reflective exercises, participants will gain actionable insights to help them develop their leadership skills, regardless of their current role or level of experience.
