What organizations sponsor ABCT as an authorized CE provider?
ABCT webinars are sponsored by the following organizations to provide Continuing Education:
- APA (American Psychological Association)
- NBCC (National Board for Certified Counselors)
- CAMFT (California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists)
- New York State Education Department’s State Board for Psychology
- New York State Education Department’s State Board for Social Work
You can click on the links above to view the entire catalog of recorded webinars that are sponsored by each organization. Please note some recorded webinars are NOT approved by the New York State Education Department to provide continuing education for psychologists or social workers.
All future live webinars are approved to provide Continuing Education by all the organizations listed above.
How do I earn Continuing Education credit?
Live Webinars
After attending the live webinar session on Zoom, you will be redirected to a page where you can complete the webinar quiz and evaluation. Once those has been successfully completed, you can choose from a listing of available certificates to use as proof of participating in the live or recorded webinar. Then you may save and/or print the certificate for your records.
Recorded Webinars
After viewing the webinar recording you will be redirected to a page where you can complete the webinar quiz and evaluation. Once those have been successfully completed, you can choose from a listing of available certificates to use as proof of participating in the live or recorded webinar. Then you may save and/or print the certificate for your records. Please note that the recorded webinar must be viewed in it’s entirety before the quiz and evaluation will become available!
If I fail the quiz, can I take it again?
Yes! You can retake the quiz only once, so please make sure you understand the material before retaking the quiz.
How do I access live webinars?
The Zoom webinar link and passcode will be sent via e-mail after you register. If you have registered and not received the link, please call our office at (212) 647-1890 or e-mail membership@abct.org and we will be able to get it to you!
If I miss the live webinar I registered for, can I still watch a recording and receive Continuing Education credit?
Yes! If you registered for but missed the live airing of the webinar, you will be able to access the recording once it is made available. Once you have viewed the recorded webinar in its entirety you will be able to take the quiz and receive Continuing Education credit.
Do I need to watch the recorded webinar in one sitting? Can I revisit it later?
Once you have purchased a recorded webinar you will always have access to it. You can view it on your own time and can pause the recording to revisit at any point.
Do ABCT webinars offer Continuing Education for social workers outside of New York state?
Currently our webinars do not offer Continuing Education for social workers outside of New York state.
How do I cancel my registration?
Registration is non-refundable. If you registered for a live webinar and are unable to attend, you will receive access to a recording at no extra cost. The recording will still provide Continuing Education credit.
